Research sometimes requires the use of animal models. In Europe the use of experimental animals is subject to legislation (Directive EU63 / 2010) requiring that animals are used only if necessary and with the highest possible standards of animal welfare. Therefore, one of the requirements is that staff working with experimental animals have the knowledge and practical skills necessary to carry out their work. The UAB has been conducting training in laboratory animal science since 1987 and is  a pioneer in Europe offering the training required for the various functions of personnel working with laboratory animals.

The courses and programs that you will find here are all recognized and accredited by European institutions, ensuring quality and respect for the highest ethical standards.
