Q: What are the steps to follow for registration?
A: The steps to follow are:
1. Fill out the registration form.
2. Send us an e-mail (gokhan.dogru @ uab.cat or adria.martin @ uab.cat).
3. Upon our confirmation, make the payment to the given bank account (see the last question for payment dates). At this point, you will be registered completely for the summer school and your seat will be guaranteed.
4. Wait for our final confirmation before purchasing your flight and accommodation. We will update you about the last step.
Q: What is the language of the summer school?
A: All courses will be taught in English.
Q: Do I need to bring my own laptop?
A: No, desktop computers are provided.
Q: Do I need to purchase all the software needed for the course?
A: No. All software is already installed on our computers.
Q: Is there an Internet connection available for the participants?
A: Yes. The coverage of the Wi-Fi network on campus covers nearly all buildings, and can be accessed freely.
Q: Do I have to be a translator to participate this summer school?
A: No. Anyone interested in translation technologies can participate.
Q: When shall I make the payment?
A: If you fill out the registration form before 01.01.2020, you can make the payment as of 01.01.2020. If you fill out the form after 01.01.2020, you can make the payment as soon as you receive our confirmation mail.
Q: I need a visa to enter Spain. Do you help us?
A: We provide you an official invitation letter. If you need visa, we strongly advise you to register, make the payment and apply for visa as soon as possible since obtaining a visa make take a month in most cases.
