Within the framework of a society that is ever more permeable to geographical movements every time, where the using of information technology and communication take in a growing importance in all areas of the ordinary citizen, there is a growing need for multilingual engineering linguistic resources and Professional multilingual linguistic data formalization specialists, as well as of linguistic mediation and understanding between related languages.

• Innovative

TICOM master is an innovative and unique initiative within the curriculums featured in the Philology departments of Spainish universities.  Nevertheless it has a long standing in countries like Germany or France, and especially in technology-leading regions/states such as Bavaria (München), Franche-Comté (Besançon), Languedoc (Toulouse) or Wallonie (Mons).

• Versatile

Multilingual information and communication processing is an intersection of subjects for the development of techniques of investigation and innovation.

A previous sound education is required for the specialization in multilingual information and communication processing, whether it be in linguistic and plurilingual competences for those students coming from the humanities (documentation and archival sciences included), or in information technologies, for students from technological fields (engineering, computing…)

• International

The TICOM Master faculty members cooperate with other superior educational and research institutions: several European universities (Spanish, French, English, Portuguese, German, Polish, Russian …) and leading research laboratories in investigation, both from outside and inside Europe, have been part of jointly organized projects. Beside, exchanges are regularly held.
