M8. Research and technology transfer management

The aim of this module is to introduce the students to the proper use of the tools at its disposal to carry out the research process in computer vision. The module covers the use of planning tools, location of meaningful information, literature review and statistical analysis of data. In addition, the module also provides content associated with technology transfer of research results to society. It introduces various forms of entrepreneurship, the development of business plans, financing, and the range of options available for the protection of research results.

  3. Intellectual property: patents, copyright and registered trademarks
  4. Research tools
    1. Data analysis: quantitative and qualitative
    2. Project planification
    3. The process of reviewing the state-of-the-art

Activities and calendar The 6 credits (150 hours) are not distributed uniformly. The last 3 Weeks of the course (66 hours) should be reserved to write the state-of-the-art of the TFM. Students will learn the necessary tools to search the information and will have to write the second chapter of the memory, which will have to be approved by their corresponding supervisors. They will also perform a basic planification of the project, detailing the tasks and their temporal arrangement.
