Welcome to the Innovarch website!
INNOVARCH is a pilot educational project aimed to develop training methodologies and materials for introducing Public Archaeology in European Higher Education curricula. Partners of the project, which is founded by the K2 â€“ Strategic Partnerships - Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, are the University of Crete (GR), the Autonomous University of Barcelona (ES), the University of Warsaw (PL) and Linnaeus University (SE).
The project has started the 1st September 2015 and will finish the 30th August 2017.
3rd Intensive Course: Linneaus University (Kalmar - SE) , 7th-12th November 2016
The overall topic of the course will be "Public Archaeology as collaboration and dialogue". During the 6-days course students will examine a range of different case-studies and examples that illustrate the difficulties of collaboration and dialogue but also how much is to be gained from them in a process of mutual development and empowerment.
First International Multiplier Event: Linneaus University (Kalmar - SE) , 8th September 2016
In the framework of the 12th annual international conference of Bridging Ages a whole day session was devoted to present the Innovarch project and to discuss with colleagues of more than 10 countries the challenges of introducing Public Archaeology Higher Education curriculum. The session called Public Archaeology in Society: New Approaches, New Partners, New Challenges was organized and conducted by Dr. Cornelius Holtorf of Linneaus University.
