BridgeS is a competitive research project, led by Dr Pilar Carrasquer, based at the Centre d'Estudis Sociològics sobre la Vida Quotidiana i el Treball (QUIT) and funded by the Program Recercaixa, in its 2015 Call. The full title of the project reads as follows: "The gender pay gap as a multidimensional phenomenon. Analysis of institutional, organizational and cultural barriers. Proposals for intervention".
The BridgeS project has as main purpose to analyze the gender pay gap, understood as a multidimensional phenomenon, with the goal of drawing proposals aimed at minimizing it. This clear orientation towards intervention materializes in a tight collaboration with social agents and institutions. The creation of an Advisory Board, composed of experts and representatives of institutions and organizations involved in this issue, constitutes a key tool in this respect.
This blog has as a purpose to present the main aims of the project as well as its findings. Furthermore, it intends to become a space to share information regarding the gender pay gap, by disseminating different types of resources as well as related pieces of news.
